Whatever that was!įor me, the book is a a strange juxtaposition of beach read and profound, conceptual literature. Yet, when I finished the last page and put the book down, I realized it was not what I had been expecting at all. I knew little about it and just kind of jumped in. Opinion: I would like to think that I went into this book with no expectations.

Knowing it was a bestseller, I read the preview, and the simplicity of the story intrigued me enough to pick it up. I had certainly heard of the title, but had no idea what the novel was about.
